Process Description
RSP Tooling, LLC was founded in January of 2002 for the purpose of commercializing the Rapid Solidification Process (RSP) technology.
The technology was invented by Dr. Kevin McHugh of the Department of Energy. There are eight patents protecting the technology. RSP
Tooling, LLC has signed a worldwide exclusive license with the DOE for any tooling application of the patents. The first three years
of the company’s history have been devoted to designing, building, and developing the first production machine.
