New Developments RSP Tooling is now quoting and manufacturing production and prototype tooling for forging, die casting, and plastic injection applications. RSP Tooling is successfully producing bimetallic tools for die casting and plastic injection applications. These tools have the potential of increasing cycle time by 35%. The tools have a steel surface and a BeCu backing giving them the tool life of steel and the cooling rate of BeCU. Bimetallic Shot Block We have demonstrated the ability to produce graphite composite tooling from scrap INVAR that has that has a coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) that is even closer to graphite composite materials than virgin INVAR.
